You must have a Bachelor of Education degree in the same subjects from a university in Rhineland-Palatinate or an equivalent degree from a university in Germany or abroad to apply for this master’s degree program. If you are applying with a university degree that is not fully equivalent to the required bachelor\u2019s examination, but which includes at least 140 credit points which correspond to it, you can still be admitted to the master’s degree program under the condition that you earn the missing examinations and coursework by the end of the first academic year. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

While JGU gives you the opportunity to gain practical experience through various school internships, there\u2019s more, too: You will also have the opportunity to teach pupils and test your teaching concepts in our teaching and learning lab. You can supervise pupils while working as a research assistant in our kids lab, in our particle physics master classes, and at other events (Girl\u2019s Day, Discovery Day) and carry out experiments with them, thus gaining additional important practical experience. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Master of Education in Physics program, followed by the teacher traineeship, is the classic path to the teaching profession<\/strong>. However, you also have other options after earning this degree: For example, you can work as an editor in textbook publishing houses<\/strong> or work in science communication<\/strong> and make research accessible to a broader audience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the first semester, you will deepen your knowledge of theoretical and experimental physics. From the second semester onwards, you will acquire further skills in subject didactics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the third semester, you will complete an internship; in the fourth semester, you will write your master's thesis and also take courses in the module \"Interdisciplinary Concepts\", which will teach you how to make connections between different areas of physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the four semesters of the master's degree program, you will be studying Education Studies as well as your second teaching subject.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

To apply, you must create an account on our online application portal JOGU-StINe.
If you earned your bachelor's degree in another country, please have your certificates recognized before submitting your application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Fill out the form online and submit it. If you have successfully submitted your application, the status of your application in JOGU-StINe should no longer read \u201cOpen\u201d. The status should be \"Sent\". As soon as your application has been successfully received, the status will change to \"Received\". <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

After submitting your application, you will have to wait a while for it to be processed. Once we check your application and the selection procedure has been carried out, we will upload the result of the selection procedure in the form of an official notification on JOGU-StINe. We will send an email to the email address registered in your application account when the document has been uploaded. <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
