To apply for the Master’s degree course, you must provide proof of a Bachelor’s degree in meteorology or a German or foreign similar Bachelor’s degree.
The course is taught entirely in English, so you must also provide proof of English language skills. Normally, the German Abitur certificate is sufficient for this, provided that English was taken continuously up to the end of the penultimate year (year 11 for G8 Abitur, otherwise year 12) and completed with at least sufficient grades.

The Master’s program offers you an advanced education in research practices and state-of-the-art theories and methods, which will also prepare you for a career in research. The main topics of meteorology (the Institute of Atmospheric Physics) are dynamics of weather and climate, clouds and aerosols, modeling and composition of the atmosphere.

You can apply for the winter semester until September 1st and for a start in the summer semester until March 1st. Please note: in order to apply with international documents you need to get them recognized before you apply for a degree program (more information can be found here). All further information on enrollment and the application process can be found here.
